Q1. How did your career journey start? Or Who/What inspired you to start this Business/Entrepreneurship?

Having a background of Banking and Finance, just few months after I entered into corporate, I realised what actually motivates me and makes me happy. And that was Baking and creating desserts.

However, I had many questions in my mind. Am I doing the right thing? Is there a scope for this in today’s world? Will this work? What will be the response? With all this questions in mind, I did not quit my job directly and jumped in to baking. I kept working part time and used the other time to create & experiment recipes. 

One of my close friend was kind enough to teach me the basics of the cake. Unfortunately, she couldn't continue in baking but she motivated me and helped me grow in this field so that she can see her dreams achieved by me. Being a vegetarian, it was most important to me creating Eggless desserts. Fortunately, there were no courses that can give me an exact understanding about Eggless baking then. And then I started researching more to understand about the products, its core qualities etc. 

My mother supported me well enough so that I can create the best flavored cakes and desserts by myself which was always liked and appreciated by many people. 

Q2. Kindly share some information about your Business, products and services here.

Creativ_Happiness was established in 2017. We cater to individual cravings for baked goods. However we are happy to fulfil Corporate Orders too. We allow sample tasting for all sweet and savoury desserts for large gatherings.

We offer a wide variety of customised desserts like fresh flavoured gluten free cakes, cupcakes, pastries, mini cakes, jar desserts, jams, ice creams cookies, cake sickles, chandelier cakes, tier cakes, healthy varieties of granola etc with high level of quality and wholesomeness.

Q3. What kind of challenges did you face while starting/doing business?

It took me a lot of time to understand the science of baking and come up with effective products. It was difficult to enter any market without any sources and contacts I had to create everything from a scratch....being a home baker i had a group of people whom i started with eventually i started participating into exhibitions followed by wedding cakes and now we also deal in corporate supplies...there is always upgrading and experimenting on to creativity.

Q4. Do share with our readers about your discovery period when you were facing difficulties in your business?

After spending so many years studying, leaving a job that gave me a fat salary and deciding what I actually wanted to do itself was a difficult decision. Everything comes with some difficulties. In business, I started facing difficulties with the stock recordings. It was difficult to fix a judgement over the orders in a particular time span, creating a clients base, during the high festive time it is really important to have a group of baker’s friends who can help you out. Another task is being creative every time for every client and providing the best.

Q5. Share with our readers about your experiment period after the discovery period?

After getting hands on cakes I realised that baking is not just limited to cakes but includes everything under sweet and savoury. Not everything turned out exact, not everything got a good response but there were many products which had a marvellous response. It took me almost a year and a half to get the exact ideas on the platter and create something extraordinary for everyone every time. Once you create something, there is one thing to remember that the actual competition for creativity is with yourself.

Q6. What are your future plans? Or now what is your vision for next five years?

I want to see Creative_Happiness serving as Mumbai’s best customised dessert place and the most commonly searched name on Google.

I also want to create a ‘MARKET’ for home bakers ie. to start and scale up their home baking business and help them create individual identity. 

Q7. How would you advice/suggest new entrepreneurs who want to start & sustain in business?

Join hands with the people you think who can help. Ask for help if required and it is never too late to start. Always do what brings you happiness and bake to spread smiles n happiness. Always come out original and with a positive attitude.
