Q1. How did your career journey start? Or Who/What inspired you to start this business/entrepreneurship?

As my name is Shilpi, which means Artist, I want to spread positivity and happiness through my Art to millions of people.
As I believe any form of Art can have a positive impact on human civilization and especially when the current time is full of distress.

I am inclined towards Art and Craft since my childhood. My parents are always being the source of encouragement and have always supported my inclination towards art and craft. But as I grew, my passion got dumped under the pressure of big books, career and art was left behind. For around 12 years I had no connection with art and craft. But one fine day I left my fine corporate job to pursue my dreams.

Q2. Kindly share some information about your Business, products and services here.

I am mainly into Home Decor and DIY stuff. Creating crafts using simple ideas and readily available stuff is my main motive.

Gone are those days when people spent a hefty amount of money decorating their homes by a professional. Sometimes those decorations don’t directly resonate to your taste and you end up being sad on the entire decorating journey. On the contrary, I always try to keep it simple and personalize the decorations so that the people can connect to the ideas and stick to them.

Also I want to spread Home decor ideas to all the classes of people. It’s no more only a luxury for the higher class people.
Even middle & lower Middle class people also wish to have beautiful home decor at an affordable cost.

The idea is to spread positivity in people's lives by making their home and surroundings more positive and energetic.

Q3. What kind of challenges did you face while starting/doing business?

Challenges are many but to overcome those challenges is the real fun. Stuffs like collecting raw materials and old antique stuff for the decor is challenging.

Making a good YouTube video or posting something on Instagram is also a challenge, we just can't upload anything.
We have to spend a lot of time behind those ideas and have to have some thought behind every post so that the end users can connect.

Being a mother, it becomes more challenging to maintain a balance between everything but then those are the driving forces which makes you strong.

Q4. Do share with our readers about your discovery period when you were facing difficulties in your business?

There are happy days and there are days when it seems to be not working at all but the key is to stick to your ideas and believe in yourself. You have to be open to critics and ready to take others' feedback.

A system can only work when there is a two way communication, that’s why I always interact with my users and think from there point of view also.

Q5. Share with our readers about your experiment period after the discovery period?

During the Discovery period I normally analyse the feedback and the criticisms.

After that it's like going to the drawing board and building a concrete plan of what went wrong and what should be done more.

And trust me this is the cycle which goes on and it's like a process we need to follow to improve ourselves every passing day.

Q6. What are your future plans? Or now what is your vision for next five years?

Well I have future plans to grow my business more and to make it reachable to all the households and community.
Some future projects involve DIY workshops (Online and On-site) and Go Green Decors.

Q7. How would you advise/suggest new entrepreneurs who want to start & sustain in business?

Research your idea, fine tune your idea and stick to it. Always remember never in the history of mankind hard work gets wasted. So just keep on the learning and create magic.
